ABOUT
After graduating with her M.Sc in Architecture, Petra van Veelen started in commercial real estate development and project management. With 10 years of experience, she established DEMUCHO in Amsterdam, moving her practice to Berlin in 2013.
Her previous work has included whole projects, from land acquisition, permits, design work, and construction, seeing a space through to the handover to investors and tenants. Today, DEMUCHO focusses on Design Development: Creating spaces for owners and tenants that allow people to perform their best.
INTUITION
What makes a DEMUCHO standout is Petra’s expertise and intuition to build a space designed for the way people use it.
Her past projects had Petra working with international teams of global investors and renowned architecture firms, including Kohn Pederson Fox (WTC Amsterdam), ALROV Group, and Lissoni Associati (Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam) on both new constructions and renovating listed buildings.
PASSION
Throughout the completion process of a project, DEMUCHO maintains close ties with designers and manufacturers that share the same passion for their work with knowledge and creativity.
DEMUCHO also considers the future in all designs: Petra pushes for sustainability in all aspects of the design choices, looking always for local manufacturers, sustainable products, and technology.
